There was no holding back for Piper Simpson at the NSW Cross Country Long Course Championships. After being out sprinted in July's Short Course Championships to take the Bronze Medal, Piper's race plan was to lead from the start and let the others do the chasing. By the halfway point she had opened a convincing gap on the field and maintained her strong lead to the end.
Our entire squad had an outstanding day at the Championships with 3 Teams earning Gold and 3 earning Silver Medals for their Randwick Botany Club. We are anticipating more than 20 Athletes earning selection to the NSW Athletics List of Merit.
