There was no holding back for Piper Simpson at the NSW Cross Country Long Course Championships. After being out sprinted in July's Short Course Championships to take the Bronze Medal, Piper's race plan was to lead from the start and let the others do the chasing. By the halfway point she had opened a convincing gap on the field and maintained her strong lead to the end.

Our entire squad had an outstanding day at the Championships with 3 Teams earning Gold and 3 earning Silver Medals for their Randwick Botany Club. We are anticipating more than 20 Athletes earning selection to the NSW Athletics List of Merit.

After months of lock downs and restrictions due to Covid-19 we were so pleased to be able to get back to "normal" training with the reopening of Community Sport on July 1.

January 2018 - Holiday Training

Paris has been practising her Steeple Chase technique ready for the National Championships in March. Billy and Kirsty have been on the bike training with Coach Warren for their assult on the NSW All Schools Triathlon Championships, and the squad has battled trough heat, rain, thunder and lightning giving their best at every session for the year ahead!!! We are Up And Running for 2018!!!

29/12/2017 - Wanda Sandhills

We headed to the Wanda Sandhills for what is one of the toughest strength session that you could do.

Our legs were burning as we took on "Big Daddy" the biggest sand dune in Sydney.

Coach Jordan took us on for a few reps and showed us that he still has some power left in his legs.

28/12/2017 Holiday Training

It's great to see our talented athletes finding time to train whilst they are away on holidays.

Kirsty hasn't let the cold and snow stop her from running in Scotland. Good to see the 2xu tights have come in handy.

In contrast the Stanfield Brothers Jackson and Lachlan smashed their scheduled speed session in the heat of Coffs Harbour.

Very impressive all three of you!!!

26/12/2017 - Boxing Day Run/Swim Session

It was great to some of our girls out early on Boxing Day Morning at Clovelly Beach punching out a tough Run/Swim session around the bay.

Alex, Sophie, Charlotte and Paris have all been enjoying their training sessions on land and in the water in preparation for the 2018 All Schools Triathlon Championships.

09-10/12/2017 - Metropolitan East Little Athletics Championships

What a weekend for our athletes in every age group at the Metropolitan East Little Athletics Championships.

There are too many PBs, and podium finishes to mention them all and even some records broken by our runners.

Highlights included Eleanor's dominant wins in both her U14s 800 and 1500 metre events. Paris who won the U15s 800, 1500 and 3000 metre events as well as the 3000 metre race walk. More Great Racing 25 and 26/11/2017

Great results for two of our athletes this weekend at two big events.

Brody has been improving and building confidence with every race. After a fantastic second place Junior finish in the Balmain Fun Run 5km last weekend Brodie has taken his racing up a notch by breaking the Junior course record at the Kamay Parkrun at Yarra Bay.

Brody took on some elite adult runners to finish 6th overall in a blistering time of 18:56 taking the record away from one of our other talented juniors Max who had set the mark earlier this year. It's great to see the boys developing into fine young runners and enjoying the sport.

Doing it for the girls, Paris headed down to the Jackie Fairweather Memorial Triathlon in Canberra. Competing over distances of 750m Swim, 20km bike and 5km run, Paris was 3rd female across the line overall, winning her age category with a solid 21:35 run off the bike.

Things will only get better for Paris when she picks up her new bike this week from our great support Stew "COMPUTER" Campbell at Happy Wheels. Look out she will be FAST!!!

Don't forget our bike session on Tuesday afternoons at 4:15 for those who want to try their skills at triathlon. Throughout the school holidays bike sessions will also take place at 7:30am on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

19/11/2017 Balmain Fun Run

Once again we had huge success at the Balmain Fun Run with some outstanding individual results and the overall fastest team in the 5km event.

In the tough and hilly 5km race Lachlan took on the adults to take out 3rd place overall in an amazing time of 18:17. He was closely followed by Rhys who won the U16 Age Category in 18:27. Brody and Max were right behind taking out 2nd and 3rd in the U16 division. Jackson and Oliver both ran well with times in the low 20 minutes and Ava was great for the girls finishing 5th in the U16's female category.

In the 2km race Grace finished 2nd in the U12 category and Charlotte 5th in the U10's both in very impressive times.

11/11/2017 - Two National Qualifiers.

Well done to Paris and Alex who competed in the NSW Athletics 3000 metre Championships at SOPAC.

Both girls ran amazing races achieving Australian All Schools qualifying times.

Paris backing up after winning her Little Athletics Club Championships 3000 and 800 metre events that morning going sub 11 minutes in 10:44 was an outstanding result.

12 year old Alex ran an incredible 30 second PB against some very handy adult runners to cross the line in 10:24.

We are very proud of what the girls are doing of late and this is an impressive cap to a very successful campaign at the Noosa Triathlon Series just a week earlier.

We Kick off the first weekend of November 2017 with Medals, Medals, and more Medals!!!

A great start to the month of November with some amazing race results.

Up at Noosa on the Sunshine Coast Paris and Alex had a very successful campaign taking out medals and podium finishes in several events. In the Run/Swim/Run Paris was 2nd and Alex finished 10th female overall in a very handy field of adult athletes. In the 5km Fun Run Paris was 1st place and Alex close behind in 2nd. And in the Noosa Triathlon Paris was first in her Age Group and Alex took second. What a remarkable week of racing girls!!!

At the NSW Track Relay Champioships at SOPAC we had athletes running in both male and female teams.

Although running up in the U16s Age Group or under 12 girls Zara, Bronte and Millie were very unlucky to get a medal finishing 4th in the 1500 metre race with 14 year old Eleanor. All four girls ran amazing times with Bronte and Millie running huge PBs.

The boys joined forces with their Randwick Botany Harrier team mates in the U14s 800 and 1500 metre events. Max, Alexander and Jackson all ran well on the track with Alexander and Max both running big PBs in the 1500 for the RBH B Team. Lachlan and Brodie were outstanding in the 1500m race helping their team to a GOLD Medal. Lachlan repeated this effort as first runner in the 800m race seeing the team take a second NSW GOLD Medal.
